Black Tea Benefit - Protect Against Heart Disease

Heart disease always gets people confused. Many medicine can prevent it, while it also bring side effect. Is there any methods to protect against heart disease little side effect? One way is use black tea.

Why does black tea protect against heat disease?

Like green tea, black tea also contains antioxidants, which neutralize the harmful effects of natural chemical processes in the body. Antioxidants were also believed to reduced risk of heart disease, cancers and osteoporosis.

Besides, in 2001 a study result was published in the medical journal Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association. Reseachers found drinking black tea may strength ability of cells lining blood vessels in the heart, which is named endothelial cells. It help regulate flow of blood. Abnoamal functioning of these endothelial cells is a key step on the path to the artery hardening disease atherosclerosis.

Joseph A. Vita. MD, the author of the study, also found two hours after drinking tea, the benefit appeared. If people continue to drink tea for a month, the benefit is sustained.

Which is better, green tea or black tea?

I am sorry to say there is no answer yet. Green tea contain EGCG, which is a powerful anti-oxidant and believed to prevent heart disease. Black tea contains theaflavins and thearubigens. Recent studies indicated they also provide heart benefits originally attributed solely to green tea. So my suggestion is, drinking both:)
