In 2003 A study reveals how green tea help boost immune system, which was published online in Journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Green tea contains the substance alkylamines, which was also present in some other disease agents, such as bacteria, parasites and cancerous cells. Are you amazed? Green tea contains possible disease-causing agent. How did it boost immune system? Take it easy. That actually is the key.

Researchers watched the effect of the antigens on gamma-delta T cells in the immune system, which is the first mechanism to bacterial infection. They found cells exposed to an alkylamine fought back against the bacteria, by multiplying up to 10 times. The cells which were not exposed to an alkylamine antigen showed no response to the simulated infection. It seems like green tea boost immune system by fighting them.:)
